Morning thoughts

With new dailies that have to be done if we care at all about character progression, I find a good hour passes easily from login to logoff on my main:

0:00 login and fly to daily area
0:05 queue for heroic trolls once no guildy wants to tank one
0:15-0:20 finish dailies
0:30-0:40 get queue
1:00 finish troll dungeon

This assumes a good competent pug group and oddly that happens more often than not!

Then I switch to my druid. Another hour.

Then I feel exhausted from the “work” I just did.  Only after roughly two hours can I do personal fun things like battlegrounds or… Run more troll heroics.

Two toons are stretching my time quite effectively.  Can I manage three if I want to make my deathknight ready for pvp? It would mean a third set of dailies and heroics because the dk still needs pve gear… And its going to be an offspec tank for my friends and their dailies… If you are getting two or more toons through the grind, any tips to not burn out on being such a hardcore casual?

Also, for the handful of Iron Dragon guildies who read this, you should yell at most of the dps.  Armory checks at random showed quite a few people who had the 140 vp from Shannox last week and maybe one or two randoms to complement it.  Slackers waiting for “free” drops! >:)

I know the feeling… I have a hard time gearing even my primary alt (whoever that happens to be at the moment, my paladin or druid). Especially now that we have to do heroics again to cap VP, I’m like Fffffff this. Once I’ve done them on Ank that’s it. Normally I like to run heroics on alts but not when I feel like I *have* to do them. I have these dreams of seeing my gnome warrior in shiny epics, but yeah, tertiary alt and 3 months after she’s hit 85 she’s still in greens.

Also very jealous of your 30 minute troll heroic runs with pugs. Usually mine goes: queue up, wait 45 minutes as solo dps, get a group of scrubs who dies over and over, leave group and find some achievement to work on while waiting another 40 minutes, end up in another group of idiots and go cry in a corner. I was being wildly positive. Most of the runs, even the good ones, end up being close to an hour. ONCE we almost got a bear in ZA and so finished in half an hour…

I do the dailies on three characters, but usually with a break in between. Like I might do them on two characters, but a third seems like too much work so I’ll do that one later on in the day.

Admittedly I’m being lazy with the heroics. I really should do them, but after doing the dailies I never want to. I guess that means I can’t give any tips at all! Darn it!

If I do do heroics though, I tend to spread them out if I can. Or I get too bored. Unless I have some sort of energy boost (read: sugar rush) and I might get through more than one at a time.

I don’t have any advice, but I am really sorry my class sucks in arena now and made you decide to try to use your DK in spite of disliking it to do anything in arena in 2s. 😦

You could always try resto druid/warlock with Sehk.
