The Holy Crap Tier

If you haven’t seen the tier bonuses yet for tier 13, have a gander here:

Does it all seem crazy overpowered, or is it just me?

Contrast a tank with 4 pc bonus versus a tank without it.

The others are also crazy but it’s the tanking ones that seem like they’re going to be absolute requirements for any guild wanting to push ahead.

2 pc warlock?  A warlock with and a warlock without… a Warlock with can pop a demon every fight… sometimes twice a fight.  A warlock without, no.

I’m all for cool bonuses, but like, wooahhhhh blizzard, wooooaaaaaahhhhh.

Priest 2-piece is good, but Disc’s 4-piece is not very good compared to Holy’s.

Healer, 4P — Your Power Word: Shield has a 10% chance to absorb 100% additional damage, and the cooldown of your Holy Word abilities is reduced by 20%.

I definitely understand how you want to make Disc’s bonus have to do with shields, since it’s our mastery or whatever. But considering the high cost of pw:s, it’s not used very often. I use it SLIGHTLY more often as disc than as holy. This bonus will still apply to holy specs, too, so a holy priest casting a shield has a ten percent chance of it proccing, whereas disc specs don’t have any Holy Word spells – that’s a holy chakra thing.

It’s kind of annoying, because it really feels like disc got gimped for PvE again this expansion. No one was disc in BC, it seemed about equal in Wrath, and now Holy is definitely stronger because the whole thing about disc, the shields, were just… not done well. First the scaling sucked and shields absorbed almost nothing, then they decided to lower the mana cost of shields so they were something you could cast like a holy priest cast renew, but apparently that was overpowered so they jacked up the mana cost again.

Disc mastery is SHIELDS. We should be casting more shields than heal/flash heal/greater heal.
